New Convertible Condo for Andronicus |

This is the third little house I've built for Andronicus the Rat. The first one was good but it was a bit "thrown together". So, I built a second one. That one had a lot more solid form to it, a sign across the front that said "ANDRONICUS" and "KEEP OUT", and it even had a top and bottom floor! The problem with the 2nd condo, however, is that when he ran inside, there wasn't really any way to get him safely. You could reach in through the side and try to pull or force him out but then you risk being bitten by a stubborn rat that doesn't want to leave. The other way was to take the whole condo out, and that's such a hassle. So, I just got finished building a third and, I hope, more permanent little house for the damn rodent. This one is cool. I pulled out all the stops when creating this one. It's very solid and inside it is very dark like he likes it. there is a single way in and out through a small round hole on the front. The interior has carpet for the floor and ceiling, so it's nice and soft. The coolest part, though, is that I built the entire roof on hinges that allow me to lift it open like a dirty clothes basket to see or get the rat and then close it back up again. Damn, I sound like an eBay item description. Well, I spent a lot of time working on Andy's little home so I thought I'd spend at least a few minutes bragging about it. OK I'm done. |
